The Waiting Room was born from the personal story and spiritual calling of Bre Wood — a mother, survivor, visionary, and woman of unwavering faith. After enduring years of emotional, financial, and physical abuse, Bre found herself in her own “waiting room” — a season of stillness, survival, and seeking God’s voice in the midst of deep pain. It was in that sacred pause that a new purpose was planted.
Rather than letting her suffering define her, Bre chose to let it refine her. With nothing but a mustard seed of faith, she committed to creating a space for other women walking the same path — a place where brokenness meets belonging, and survival transforms into strength.
As the founder of The Waiting Room, Bre leads with both lived experience and spiritual conviction. She believes in the redemptive power of Jesus Christ, the necessity of community, and the promise that no season — no matter how dark — is ever wasted in God’s hands.
Her prayer is simple: that every woman who enters The Waiting Room feels seen, safe, and reminded of who she is — a daughter of the Most High, worthy of love, healing, and restoration.
